A Brief History of NA Rowing...
North Allegheny High School was the first high school in the Pittsburgh area to form a rowing team.  A small band of students began rowing as a lifetime activity in 1989 on Washington's Landing.  In those early days, the team borrowed well-worn equipment which was stored in old trailers.  We became recognized as a club support in 2001.  Every year the team is growing stronger and getting larger.
As a club sport, the North Allegheny Rowing Team is largely successful because of a well organized parents' group, dedicated coaches and enthusiastic student-athletes.  The club is officially known as the North Allegheny Rowing Association (NARA), a 501(c)3, non-profit organization.
